Update*** 8-27-2011
The coop is painted. All that is left is electricity for the winter.
Here is the coop. It needs to be painted, and a trench needs to be dug for the electricity.
The coop is 90% complete. The old “girls” have moved in, and the new chicks arrive tomorrow. All that’s left is to paint the outside. The weather has not cooperated. The electricity has to be run. (using and extension cord for now) Lastly, the fence needs to go up around the chicken yard. Well, here are the girls in their new house.

That’s one fancy coop! We’re about to go get a few chicks…can’t wait. We’re down to 5 old hens now, so we haven’t had eggs in quite awhile. I can’t wait to have eggs again.
Have fun!

We have 3 hens right now, and we are loving the eggs. We should both have eggs by the end of summer. That is a fancy coop, I think the builder is over qualified.
How fantastic is that chicken coop? Wow – it has to be the best chicken coop in TN or anywhere. Not sure how we missed this posting. Dad says it looks like a house, wonder why? It is beautiful, those are going to be mighty happy chickens to live in such a palace!!!! You will probably have trouble with neighboring chickens coming around and wanting to move in.
Very nice coop!
