Normally I don’t like to brag. I don’t consider myself to be arrogant. At least I try not to be. After Thursday, I do have to admit that I amazed even myself. My cow obsession is still high, so the morning didn’t go as well as it could have. However, the afternoon went really well. The three big boys added an art class to their PE class. That gave me an extra 90 minutes this week to get a few things done. Well, the little guys and I went to Sam’s first. I had made my order online the day before, so it was ready when I got there. We used the bathroom, found the paper towels that I couldn’t seem to get in my cart online, paid for our items and loaded the van. That was the quickest easiest trip ever! That right there was worth the switch from Costco. Although the snob in me still misses those red and white umbrellas. We drove right next door and returned the curtain rod at Walmart that wasn’t what I needed. We picked up a few things and headed to the book store. We found the baby shower gift for this weekend, and a coffee and cookies that we didn’t need, but were really yummy. Alex and Indy were great. Libby was a little cranky, but we miss nap on Thursday. After that I figured as long as we were quick, we could hop into JoAnn Fabric and pick up some elastic so I could make a few more skirts. Next, off to Aldi’s. As we get in the van to leave Aldi’s, we had 30 minutes left and one more store. Alex was sure we could do it, so we did. We ran the cart fast through the parking lot and got the last few things we needed at Kroger, and another cookie because the children know that they give them away. We pulled back into the Y at 4:29. One minute to spare to pick up the boys. The new art class was a huge hit. All were piled back into the van with a snack, and off to the library. Libby decides to poop as we are leaving the library. That was lovely. I’m pretty sure it leaked on my shirt since she was in the Ergo, but I pretended it didn’t happen. We arrived home at 5:49. I had exactly two hours and 11 minutes until a few ladies were coming over for a movie. In that time groceries had to be put away, dinner cooked and served, dinner cleaned up, teeth brushed, kids put to bed, the bathroom wiped down, and the floor swept. All without the help of my husband. I would like to tell you that it was all accomplished with 20 minutes to spare. The boys hauled in all of the groceries and even helped put them away. Thursday is spaghetti night so all I had to do was boil noodles. The sauce only had to be heated up since I make a huge batch all at once and freeze it. The kids were exhausted and asleep by 7:45. I had a lovely time with my new friends, watched a documentary, and stayed up too late. It was pretty great. Today we had school, found a cow, and had friends over for dinner. The house is so clean tonight that I don’t think I want to go to bed. I think I’ll just sit around and enjoy it. My cow obsession is almost over, but is leading to cow panic. That is, of course, for another post. Tonight I’m basking in the strength that God grants me each day to accomplish the tasks that seem impossible. I’m thankful for new friends, and grateful for the opportunity to show hospitality.
On a side note, Nik wanted a mustache today. Another boy we met last week had one, so he needed one today. Well, then Alex needed one and so did Indy. The boys told Indy she couldn’t have one because she’s a girl. Well, she proved them wrong. I’m so thankful they are home with me everyday. Even on the mustache days.

I’m exhausted just reading this!! Alex is turning into such a ham – look at that face!
